We are a progressive arable farm based near Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire and farm approximately 6000 acres of combinable crops.
Sprayer Operator
We are looking for a main sprayer operator to drive our Horsch Leeb PT280 (36m) and you will be the lead sprayer operator, supported at the busiest times by our John Deere trailed sprayer.
PA1 & PA2 are essential, as is knowledge of GPS. PA4 would be advantageous (training for PA4 can be given). Forklift certificate also an advantage.
The main part of this job is operating the sprayer but other general arable duties will be required as necessary when not spraying. The successful applicant will be a good all-rounder and be able to work to high standards, without supervision.
The job requires flexibility with working hours to fit in the spraying according to weather conditions. The successful applicant will need to be an efficient operator, looking to maximise output and be able to work well under pressure when the workload is high. Attention to detail, a clean, tidy approach and politeness is a must, as is complete respect for machinery.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and motivated for this full time, permanent position. We are a family run farming business with strong family values. We aim to have a work/life balance and try not to work Sundays (except at harvest).
